Soon after its release, the trailer received a positive response across social media platforms.

Many users, however, complained about the missing glimpse of Sunny Deol as Hanuman. One of the many user wrote, "It was a 4-minute trailer... Couldn't they have given Lord Hanuman even a 2-second glimpse? Wherever Lord Rama is, Lord Hanuman's devotion, selfless service, and unmatched valor are just as important. Millions of devotees were hoping for at least a brief appearance."

Some users called out CG creatures in the trailer. "The CG creatures look atrocious in the trailer. Garuda is training prince Raama - only added for some spectacle. This movie only feels to be aimed at western audience who never knew about Ramayana, Namit Malhotra isn't fooling any Indian."

What Did I Think?
Sai Pallavi's one glimpse was enough to convince me that she fits the role of Sita. Despite all the debate around her casting, the trailer made a strong case for her. Ravi Dubey also left a good impression in his brief glimpse as Lakshman.
Among the lead cast, Yash stole the show. His screen presence and powerful look make Ravana one of the biggest highlights of the trailer.

Ranbir Kapoor, however, may still have to work harder to leave a lasting impression. Based on the trailer alone, he doesn't quite stand out yet, even though there is plenty more to look forward to in the movie.
