Ramayana Trailer Out: The much-awaited Ramayana trailer dropped at 4:15 AM today, coinciding with the sacred Brahma Muhurat, after months of anticipation and several delays. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, the two-part epic is reportedly mounted on a massive combined budget of Rs 4,000 crore, making it one of the most expensive Indian films ever made.
Ramayana Trailer Out
The Ramayana trailer opened with the first glimpse of Ravana (played by Yash), with his face hidden under a shawl. Nitesh Tiwari presents the iconic character with a fresh look while staying rooted in the epic, giving Ravana a powerful screen presence.
When Ravana claimed control over the three worlds — heaven, earth, and hell — Lord Ram is born to end his reign of terror and protect humanity. Yash commands attention from his very first scene and leaves a strong impact.
The trailer of the mythological epic also showed Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram fighting demons to defend his kingdom and its people, with his devoted younger brother, Lakshman (played by Ravie Dubey). Sai Pallavi made her first appearance as Sita.
The Ramayana trailer also showed moments from Ram and Sita's wedding before the story shifted to Ayodhya, where Kaikeyi's decision forced Ram, Sita, and Lakshman to leave for exile.
Arun Govil is seen as King Dashrath in an emotional scene, running after Ram and Lakshman as they leave Ayodhya. It also introduced Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha, and Vivek Oberoi as Vidyutjihva, the demon prince and Shurpanakha's husband.
Sunny Deol, who will be seen in the role of Hanuman, did not appear in the trailer.
