Actor Rajpal Yadav is facing fresh financial trouble after the Central Bank of India initiated recovery proceedings over an unpaid loan linked to his production company.
The bank has attached his ancestral property in Uttar Pradesh and warned that the mortgaged assets could be auctioned if the dues are not cleared.
According to reports, the outstanding amount is Rs 16.61 crore. If the payment is not made within 34 days, the bank will conduct an online auction on September 9.

The latest action comes soon after Rajpal Yadav suffered a legal setback in a long-running cheque bounce case linked to the same loan.
According to reports, the bank has attached his ancestral home in Kundra village, Shahjahanpur, along with another property in the district. The two properties are reportedly valued at around ₹3.19 crore, while the outstanding dues are said to be much higher.
Rajpal Yadav's family has said the issue is being resolved through discussions with the bank. His elder brother, Shripal Yadav, described it as an old matter and expressed confidence that it would be settled soon.
Meanwhile, the Central Bank of India confirmed that a similar recovery notice had been issued nearly two years ago before both sides reached a repayment agreement.
