Kara vs KD The Devil Box Office: The Indian box office has seen box office clash following the major releases of Dhanush’s Kara and Dhruva Sarja’s KD: The Devil. While the Tamil heist thriller has shown a steady upward trend, the high-budget Kannada action epic is facing an uphill battle to recover its massive production costs.

Kara Box Office Collection Day 2

On its second day, Dhanush’s Kara, directed by Vignesh Raja, saw growth. The film earned Rs 6.95 crore net in India on Friday, a 12.1% increase from its opening day. This brings its domestic net total to Rs 13.15 crore. Globally, the film has already surpassed the Rs 20.20 crore mark.

The Tamil version remains the powerhouse for Kara, contributing Rs 5.85 crore on day two with an occupancy rate of 34%. While the film marks a lower opening compared to Dhanush’s previous directorial hits like Raayan, its international performance has been solid, adding Rs 5 crore to the total gross.

KD The Devil Box Office Collection Day 2

In contrast, KD The Devil, is struggling to find its footing. Despite featuring a star-studded cast including Sanjay Dutt and Shilpa Shetty, the film collected only Rs 3.5 crore on its second day. With a total two-day collection of roughly Rs 7 crore, the film has only recovered 7% of its reported Rs 100 crore budget.

As the weekend progresses, the industry is watching closely to see if the Dhruva Sarja-led project can stage a comeback. For now, Dhanush’s heist thriller seems to have captured the audience's attention more effectively.
