Actress Janhvi Kapoor has opened up about a deeply personal and troubling experience, revealing that she first discovered a morphed image of herself on an adult website when she was just 15 years old. In a candid conversation with Raj Shamani, the Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari actor described the lasting impact of seeing her likeness misused, a problem that has only intensified with the rise of modern AI technology.
The incident occurred during her school years, specifically during an IT class. Janhvi Kapoor recalled the "weird experience" of seeing her pictures on such sites while her male classmates browsed them for fun. “I don’t know if it was a deepfake, but it was something like that. I saw a picture of me on a porn site," she stated. At the time, as a young teenager, she tried to process the violation by rationalising it as an unavoidable consequence of fame and the digital age. Reflecting on the lack of ethics online, the Param Sundari actress remarked, “At some point, I was like this is the cost you have to pay. There is no morality in a lot of these things with social media.”
