'Fake, Cheap Marketing': Pakistani Clothing Brand Morphs Alia Bhatt's Photos To Promote Products; Fans React

Alia Bhatt's photos were shared by the Pakistani clothing brand Wajayesha Official and have gone viral on social media. But astute fans were quick to criticise the label for allegedly altering her photos and using them to advertise their brand without the actor's consent. According to reports, the photos used as the foundation for brand promotions were collected from her public engagements and social media handle.

Alia Bhatt was seen wearing Pakistani company Wajayesha Official's newest line of silk suits on their official Instagram account. The caption on the post read, "EVEN ALIA BHATT LIKES OUR PURE SHEESHA SILK COLLECTION!!"

Alia Bhatt was spotted wearing a range of vivid colours and looked stunning, from traditional black, rich burgundy, and emerald teal to delicate lavender.

Alia Bhatt's fans quickly slammed the brand in the comment section. One of the many users wrote, "Shame on you. At least your country should know that you can't use someone's images without her permission. Secondly, your country is so poor that you don't even have a beautiful model in your country to promote your brand have some self-respect." 

Another user wrote, "This is FAKE AI, cheap marketing." A third user asked, "Is Alia Bhatt aware of this brand shoot?" Several users from India tagged Alia Bhatt to take prompt action against this misuse.

Alia Bhatt Upcoming Movies

Alia Bhatt is scheduled to make her big-screen comeback with the spy thriller Alpha after a hiatus of more than a year. It is the first female-led movie in Yash Raj Films' Spy Universe and the seventh installment, directed by Shiv Rawail. Alpha, which also stars Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Sharvari, is slated to open in theatres on July 10.

Alia Bhatt is also excited for the release of Love and War, which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and stars her husband Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
