The much-awaited sequel to the cult classic Awarapan has finally been announced. Emraan Hashmi is returning to reprise his iconic role, and fans are excited to see the story continue after nearly two decades. The makers have now revealed the leading actress for Awarapan 2, adding fresh excitement around the project. With a new pairing and emotional storyline, the film is already creating strong buzz among audiences.
Disha Patani As Female Lead In Awarapan 2
In Awarapan 2, Emraan Hashmi will once again be seen as Shivam, a character loved by fans. The promotional poster shows a close-up of a hand with a bird tattoo, symbolising freedom and liberation. The big reveal confirms that Disha Patani will star opposite him in the sequel. Disha Patani shared a post on Instagram revealing the film's release date.
This marked her first collaboration with Vishesh Films, making it a special addition to her filmography.

Release Date And Production Update
The announcement of Awarapan 2 was officially made on April 21. The film serves as a sequel to the 2007 hit Awarapan. According to the makers, the production work in Mumbai is currently in its final stage. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 14, 2026, perfectly timed for the Independence Day weekend, both in India and overseas.
