Elvish Yadav, Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner and well-known YouTuber, has reportedly received a death threat and an extortion demand of Rs 10 crore that is purportedly connected to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The security around his residence has been reviewed as a measure of precaution.

Elvish Yadav Receives Death Threat And Extortion Demand

Elvish Yadav and his father allegedly received threatening messages on WhatsApp on May 5, according to police sources. A formal complaint was filed on Saturday in accordance with Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Sections 308(2) (extortion) and 351(2) (criminal intimidation).

Elvish Yadav said in his complaint at the Sector-56 police station in Gurgaon that he had first missed a WhatsApp call from an international number before getting threats through text messages.

Elvish Yadav's father informed HT that the sender, who claimed to be Randeep Malik, demanded the money within two days and threatened to shoot the 28-year-old if it wasn't paid.

Elvish Yadav Security Threats And Extortion Demands

This isn't the first time Elvish Yadav has been in the crosshairs. Just last year, on August 17, three masked gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire outside his home in Gurgaon’s Sector 57, letting off more than two dozen rounds.

Beyond physical attacks, Elvish Yadav has also been a target for extortion. In October 2023, Gurgaon and Gujarat police teamed up to arrest a 25-year-old RTO agent in Vadnagar. The man was allegedly caught trying to shake down the YouTuber for Rs 1 crore.
