Drishyam 3 Movie Release: The Malayalam Drishyam franchise is set to release its final chapter. Drishyam 3 scheduled to hit cinemas on May 21, 2026, fan excitement has reached a fever pitch. Despite a slight shift in its release date from April, the anticipation for Mohanlal's iconic character, Georgekutty, to make his closing move remains higher than ever.

Drishyam 3 OTT Release

Ahead of Malayalam movie Drishyam 3's theatrical debut, reports have emerged that the digital rights for Mohanlal starrer has already been sold. While the original 2013 film is available on JioHotstar and the 2021 sequel streamed on Prime Video, the third installment is heading to theatres first.

Drishyam 3 is expected to stream on Prime Video after completing its cinema run. While an official streaming date has not been announced, reports suggest the makers want to maintain a theatricalwindow of 30 to 35 days. If this schedule is followed, the Malayalam movie could arrive on OTT by the end of June or early July 2026.

Drishyam 3 Cast And Plot

Written and directed by Jeethu Joseph, the suspense thriller has become a global phenomenon. The Malayalam movie also inspired a massive Hindi remake starring Ajay Devgn. The original Malayalam cast returns for the finale, including

Drishyam 1 And Drishyam 2 Recap: In the first film, Georgekutty used clever movie tricks to hide a blackmailer's body under a new police station to protect his daughter. In Drishyam 2, he outsmarted the police again by swapping the dug-up remains with a different skeleton from a hospital, causing the DNA evidence to fail in court. Now, fans are eager to see how Georgekutty will protect his family one last time.

Drishyam 3 Box Office Prediction (Malayalam)

Dishyam 3 is already breaking records before its release. According to industry tracker Jerin Georgekutty, the movie has already crossed Rs 14 crore in worldwide advance booking sales for its opening day. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala also explained that Drishyam 3 movie's buzz is incredibly strong in regions with a large Malayali population, such as Kerala and Bengaluru.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala in a conversation with News9 digital shared, “The buzz is quite strong in the South, especially in Kerala and Bengaluru. Kerala has a huge audience base, and Bengaluru also has a large Malayali population. The advance booking trends in both regions are looking promising. As far as the opening is concerned, I think the film can collect around Rs 10 crore down South. For a Mohanlal film, that’s a good opening.”
