The father of Vijay, SA Chandrasekhar, is a renowned film-maker in the Tamil film industry. Born in July 1945 in a Christian family in the village of Thangachimadam, Tamil Nadu, the film-maker did not hesitate to talk about his religious faith in various interviews conducted in the past years. Apart from directing many popular movies, Chandrasekhar has contributed significantly to building up the career of his son as an actor.

Vijay’s Mother Comes From Hindu Family

Mother of Vijay, Shoba Chandrasekhar, was born in Chennai in 1948 and belongs to the Hindu religion. She is also a renowned playback singer, writer and producer. Family values and cultural traditions have been a significant part of Shoba’s discourse.

Thalapathy Vijay has a very strong relationship with his mother, Shoba Chandrasekhar, and is fulfilling her desires. Media sources have reported that Vijay has built an idol of Sai Baba for his mother at Venkateswara Nagar in the Korattur region of Chennai in 2024.
