Somy Ali recently spoke about that day on a podcast with Vickey Lalwani. She said it happened at her home. She and Salman were having breakfast when Sangeeta arrived unexpectedly.
According to Somy, Sangeeta confronted Salman and asked him to choose between the two women. Salman did not give a clear answer at that moment.
Sangeeta then decided to walk away. That ended their plans to get married.

"I was only 16 years old at the time and lacked the maturity to grasp the consequences of her actions. I was responsible for the breakup, but Salman Khan was equally guilty. Don't blame the woman alone for the breakup. A man, too, has a hand in it."

According to her, she was too young to understand, while Salman was 27 and should have known better. Today, Somy says she knows she was getting in the way of a serious relationship that was close to ending in marriage.
