Rasha Thadani became an overnight sensation after her song Uyi Amma was released from her debut movie Azaad. Amid the praise, whispers began circulating that she had planted negative PR against other star kids to promote her own image. Addressing these claims, her mother, actress Raveena Tandon, came forward to dismiss such allegations against her daughter. She revealed that while Uyi Amma brought success, it also invited harsh trolling, with fans drawing comparisons with other star kids already making their name for themselves in the industry.
Raveena recently joined the Zoom Spotlight podcast session, where she addressed the ongoing rumours that Rasha and her team had planted negative PR against other star kids. She said, "When Rasha's song Uyi Amma was released, many individuals, including trolls and fans, began to draw comparisons with others. I prefer not to name anyone. Other kids, other children - they are all just kids."
The actress further revealed that social media was flooded with comparisons during Rasha’s debut, and the situation worsened after narratives about PR manipulation against other kids began to emerge. Raveena stated, "There were numerous comparisons circulating online. Some were praising her, others were praising the other kids, while some were making derogatory comments about her, and some were disparaging the other kids."

Defending her daughter, Ranveer highlighted her own career. clarifying that she has never relied on PR tactics. She added, "All through my career, I never had a PR person. It is so unlike us, our family, to go ahead and negate our own friends’ children - the children who we have seen grow up."
Shedding light on the rumours that constantly surround celebrity families, Ranveena shared. "Ye afwahein bhi bahut udti hai. So jahan kisi ne bola, ‘Arey ye unki PR machinery chal rahi hai.’ Arey kaun si PR machinery? Nobody is that vile and wicked that they will put one person down to show themselves up."

Rasha entered the film industry with Abhishek Kapoor’s Azaad, which was released in January 2025. She starred opposite Aaman Devgan. She is now set to star in the romantic action entertainer Laikey Laikaa, co-starring Abhay Verma.
Beyond Bollywood, Rasha is also set to make her Telugu debut with Srinivasa Mangapuram. Directed by Ajay Bhupathi, the film features her in the role of 'Manga'. She stars alongside debutant Jaya Krishna Ghattamaneni, nephew of Mahesh Babu.
