In an exclusive interview with The Daily Jagran, actor Ashwin Dhar, best known for his role as Arshad Pappu in Dhurandhar, reflected on his experience sharing screen space with Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna. Ashwin Dhar, who previously worked with Ranveer Singh in Padmaavat, described the experience of collaborating with such accomplished actors as both inspiring and energising.

When asked about his time on set and whether he had any memorable moments working alongside the two stars, Ashwin Dhar said, “Working with these actors is like, you know, it’s always a dream, you know, it’s always, it’s always exciting, you know. They both, all these actors, they’re so energised and, you know, so bubbly and so loving and so, you know, you can’t, you can’t look at anything else. These actors are there on the set, it’s always energy all around."

He furthermore added, "So, both these actors, especially Ranveer Singh, I worked with him before also. Yeah, in Padmavat. Yes, in Padmavat. So, he’s a gem of a person, he’s a gem of an actor also and a human being at that. He’s so loving, right from the, you know, helper to the director. He’s like, see, he’s a bundle of energy on the set. There is happiness all around when he’s on the set.”

Ashwin Dhar highlighted not just his professionalism but also his warmth towards everyone on set. Having previously collaborated Ashwin Dhar was also asked whether he noticed any differences in Ranveer Singh’s approach between Padmaavat and Dhurandhar.

Responding candidly, he said, “No, no, no, no, what difference? He’s an actor, he’s a very hardworking actor. And in Padmaavat also, he worked very hard for all of us to see. And with same intensity and even more, he was working for this film. And the results are there for us to see.”

Dhurandhar movie hit theatres on December 5, 2025 with the sequel released on March 19, 2026. Directed by Aditya Dhar, alongside Ashwin Dhar and Ranveer Singh, the movie also stars Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, R Madhavan and Arjun Rampal in key roles.
