Daler Mehndi's viral on-stage video
A video of the exchange between Daler Mehndi and Uttarakhand minister went viral on social media on Monday, drawing attention to the confrontation between them.
The disagreement reportedly began when Uniyal questioned whether Mehndi was singing live or performing to a pre-recorded track. He reminded the singer that the audience expected a proper performance and urged him to uphold the occasion's dignity.
Citing Navratri's religious significance, Uniyal stressed the need for decorum and questioned Mehndi's ability to sing, leading to an awkward pause on stage.
