Bhooth Bangla Cast Salary Revealed: Akshay Kumar has reportedly taken a significant 28.5% pay cut for Bhoot Bangla, reducing his fee from Rs 70 crore (charged for Jolly LLB 3) to Rs 50 crore. This adjustment helps manage the film’s Rs 120 crore budget, with Akshay’s salary still accounting for 42% of total costs. Co-stars also saw fee adjustments: Tabu received Rs 2.5 crore, while Wamiqa Gabbi earned Rs 3 crore, surpassing veteran Paresh Rawal’s Rs 2 crore. Supporting actors Rajpal Yadav and Jisshu Sengupta were paid around Rs 1.5 crore and Rs 1 crore, respectively, as Akshay prioritises his return to the horror-comedy genre.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala heaped praise on the film. He described it as one of the best performances of Akshay Kumar's career. Ramesh Bala stated, "The film features a brilliant blend of horror and comedy. It keeps the audience hooked. Akshay Kumar has delivered one of the best performances of his career. Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav have done a fantastic job." Ramesh Bala awarded the film with 4 stars.

According to information shared on the official poster, Bhoot Bangla, starring Akshay Kumar in lead role, is expected to stream on Netflix following its theatrical run.

According to Sacnilk, Bhooth Bangla has sold 51,752 tickets across 8,821 shows, earning Rs 1.39 crore in advance bookings and Rs 3.73 crore including blocked seats. Trade expert Girish Johar noted that while the advance numbers aren’t outstanding, the buzz is positive and he expects the film to open at around Rs 8–10 crore.

Akshay Kumar paid a heartfelt tribute to Asrani, calling the film 'a memory and a tribute' to the late actor. Akshay said, "Comedy seemed so effortless when he did it, but in reality, it’s a difficult art. Asrani ji was its master and will always remain so… Bhooth Bangla releases tomorrow. For me, this isn’t just a film, it’s a memory… it’s a tribute… it’s a salute to that legend Asrani ji, you’ll always be remembered."

Priyadarshan denied reports that he plagiarised lyrics from a song in Satyajit Ray's 1969 film Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne for a song in the upcoming horror comedy, Bhooth Bangla. "Huge respect I have to him (Satyajit Ray), he is one of the masters from whom I learnt cinema. Second, the word you are saying is Bhoot. Now, if I ask you, in how many songs the word 'deewana' used in Indian cinema? That means that only the first person who used the word ‘deewana’ has the right to use it. It’s only a word. We can’t use, if somebody uses two lines; everybody can use, but the tune has nothing to do with the song," he said. 

Tabu recalled her first day on the Bhooth Bangla set. She told ETimes, “I didn’t know what to expect. I hadn’t worked with Akshay after Hera Pheri, and we hadn’t even met socially very often over the years. I had stayed in touch with Priyan, so I knew he would be exactly the same person.”,

Speaking about Akshay, Tabu added, “His humour and energy are the same. He still wakes up at 4 am, finishes early, and heads home, which is a very good thing for the rest of us. He always says, ‘jaldi sona chahiye,’ and reminds everyone he doesn’t go to parties. That part of him hasn’t changed at all. Of course, we’ve all grown up now, but the essence of who he is – that’s still the same."

Addressing the insult claims in an interview with ANI, Rajpal Yadav clarified, "As soon as I came running, I was in the middle of the girls. So Akshay paji was telling me that we will keep the women in the middle, and I will stand on one side, and he will stand on the other." He noted, "Actually, Akshay sir has this gesture that when there are three girls and two males, the three females are always in the middle with one male on one side, the other male on the other side."

According to the movie's official poster, the Akshay Kumar starrer is expected to release on Netflix post its theatrical run. According to reports, following the usual industry patterns, films generally land on streaming platforms roughly 45 to 60 days after their release in cinemas. So Bhooth Bangla is also expected to stream on Netflix in July or August. However, the digital release details have not been offcially confirmed by the makers.

Akshay Kumar shared a lighthearted story regarding his son, Aarav Bhatia, and the lasting impact of Vidya Balan’s performance as Manjulika. He recalled, "When my son saw Bhool Bhulaiyaa for the first time, he was afraid of Vidya Balan for six years. Whenever she came to our house, he refused to meet her and wouldn't look her in the eye. he saw 'Manjulika' in her. I had to explain to him that she wasn't Manjulika but Vidya and a very nice person, but he wouldn't believe it."

Bhooth Bangla is already showing hold at the box office even before its release. According to reports in Sacnilk, the Akshay Kumar starrer has seen a significant surge in engagement on BookMyShow, with over 5,090 tickets sold within a single 24-hour window. In terms of advance collections, the film has already grossed approximately Rs 91.5 lakh from over 34,000 tickets sold. Industry experts have noted that the film is currently outperforming other anticipated titles like Jolly LLB 3.
