Actor Vijay has stepped into politics with his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), and the Tamil Nadu elections held today (April 23) are being closely watched as a key moment for his political journey. Meanwhile, actress Trisha Krishnan, who is rumoured to be in a relationship with him, appeared to show subtle support after casting her vote in Chennai, delighting fans who even began calling her 'Anni (sister-in-law).
Trisha shared a post-voting picture on Instagram, smiling as she displayed the ink on her finger, with a caption featuring only a pointing-finger and evil-eye emoji. What truly grabbed attention, however, was her choice of music—she used 'Arjunar Villu' from her 2004 film Ghilli with Vijay, a song closely associated with their hit pairing, and notably selected a segment featuring whistles, which aligns with TVK’s party symbol.
Trisha Krishnan was accompanied by her mother, Uma Krishnan, to the polling station, where they also posed for pictures. Dressed in a green floral kurta and joined by her team, the actor urged citizens to vote, saying it is both a right and a duty.

Several prominent stars from the Tamil film also stepped out to vote in their respective constituencies, joining the electoral process with enthusiasm. Actor Santhanam exercised his franchise at Marya Nivas School in Pozhichalur. Actors Nikki Galrani and Aadhi voted at Ethiraj College, while Siddharth was seen casting his vote in Alwarpet, Chennai. Keerthi Suresh participated at Chennai Middle School in Neelankarai and Aishwarya Rajesh voted at C.D. Nayagam Higher Secondary School in T Nagar.
