Adivi Sesh’s Dacoit Trails Behind Pradeep Ranganathan’s LIK At Box Office After Week 1

Dacoit vs LIK Box Office Collection Day 7: Both major releases of the week conclude their first seven days in cinemas. While Pradeep Ranganathan’s futuristic romantic comedy, Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), continues to draw steady crowds, Adivi Sesh’s revenge drama, Dacoit A Love Story, is finding it difficult to maintain its initial momentum.

LIK Box Office Collection Day 7

Love Insurance Kompany, directed by Vignesh Shivan, has emerged as the stronger performer of the two. Set in the year 2040, the film’s unique concept of insuring relationships through a dating app has resonated well with younger audiences. By the end of its seventh day, LIK successfully crossed the significant milestone of Rs 30 crore in net domestic collections.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film's total India net collection currently stands at Rs 31.60 crore, with a domestic gross of Rs 36.52 crore. When combined with an overseas gross of Rs 10.60 crore, the film’s worldwide total has reached an impressive Rs 47.12 crore. The movie features Pradeep Ranganathan, Krithi Shetty and SJ Suryah in key roles.

In contrast, Dacoit A Love Story is witnessing a sharper decline. Despite a promising opening weekend, the film has struggled to pass the Rs 30 crore mark in India. On its seventh day, the action thriller saw its earnings dip to Rs 1.25 crore, representing a nearly 20% drop from the previous day.

Currently, Dacoit’s domestic net total sits at Rs 28.30 crore. While it has performed slightly better in international markets compared to LIK raking in Rs 12.40 crore overseas, its worldwide gross stands at Rs 45.33 crore. The movie received mixed response from the audience.

As the second weekend approaches, Love Insurance Kompany holds the upper hand due to positive word-of-mouth and its fresh high-concept storyline. While Dacoit offers solid performances, it is currently losing steam.
