Sigma Twitter Review: Jason Sanjay, son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor Vijay, has made his directorial debut with Sigma. It was released in theatres on October 2. Starring Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah, this Tamil action-adventure has opened to a mixed-to-negative response. Here's what viewers had to say:
Sigma Twitter Review
One of the many users who watched Sigma in theatres said it brings nothing new to the table. The same user slammed its villains, action sequences and the item number. Many called it a 'boring watch'.
And those who did enjoy the movie mostly praised the cast's performances and the background score.
#Sigma by #JasonSanjay is a disappointing watch. The narration is dull and feels completely flat, with almost nothing working in the film. There wasn’t even a single aspect that impressed me or made an impact. The overall experience felt underwhelming from start to finish and honestly even writing a review for this feels like a waste of time. Overall, #Sigma is a film you can easily skip.

#Sigma REVIEW - #JasonSanjay’s filmmaking has an influence of Hollywood films, and the making he’s been taught in filmmaking schools can be clearly seen in the film. However, as a movie, it’s a generic, age-old template heist story with a very amateurish, old-school, substandard making. The entire making, scenes and edits of the film feel like rushed-out Instagram edits, which itself doesn’t make us get engaged into the world of the film. #SundeepKishan is a hero with screen presence. If he gets the proper content, his stardom and performance will definitely get elevated, but here he completely delivers only a cliched performance as per the film’s requirement. The movie suffers from an outdated story and an outdated screenplay that we’ve seen countless times. The commercial mix in place too doesn’t work at all. Be it the sex comedies or comedy in place, it doesn’t land at all. #RajaSundaram appears in a cringe comedian role, poor casting overall and age-old cliched villains. Below-average 1st half, hopeless 2nd half. The mother sentiment and the emotional buildup slightly work, however the movie falters overall. The car park interval sequence and carnival sequence are good ideas, but they don’t get fleshed out well on-screen. The movie is completely predictable and becomes completely overlong at the end. Unfortunately, a bad watch and a headache. Had a lot of hopes on #JasonSanjay. Really hoped people who were experienced in cinema guided him even better in this filmmaking process. Nevertheless, really hoping he would tap on and give a greater directional film in his next and prove his landmark in cinema. ⭐️ (1/5)

#Sigma A proper mass feast Sundeep Kishan goes all out with a powerful screen presence. Interval & heist blocks are 🔥, with emotion adding more weight. #JasonSanjay packs the film with mass, action and entertainment. Pure theatre stuff! 💥 Blockbuster @sundeepkishan https://t.co/HZVN7XJvTj

What Worked In Sigma?
Sundeep Kishan seems to be the film's biggest takeaway so far. Early reactions consistently praise his performance, especially in the action sequences, and several viewers also pointed out his comic timing.
What Didn't Work?
The first half struggles to set up a strong story. The character introductions and conflicts don't land emotionally either.
There's barely anything new on offer. From the weak villains to the dated fight choreography and an item song that feels thrown in, the whole film comes across as something out of an older era.
Several viewers called out the weak screenplay, while others took issue with how the film is put together. Some scenes and edits reportedly feel like rushed Instagram reels, which makes it hard to actually sink into the film's world.
