Raja Shivaji Review: In the new film Raja Shivaji, Riteish Deshmukh takes on a huge challenge. He is not only the lead actor but also the writer and director. Instead of just making a loud action movie, he has created a thoughtful and emotional story about the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Most historical films focus only on big fights. However, this movie shows us the "making of a hero." It highlights Shivaji Maharaj’s intelligence, his planning, and his discipline. It shows a leader who won battles using his brain as much as his sword. This makes the film feel more personal and powerful.

A large part of the story looks at Shivaji's younger years. It shows how his mother, Jijabai, taught him the values that helped him start "Swarajya" (self-rule). These scenes are very emotional and show the human side of the legendary king.
