The second half of Bridgerton Season 4 explores Benedict's conflicts with his inner self- if he should sacrifice his love for the sake of society. The show gives Sophie more agency; instead of being the victim of an attempted assault by Phillip Cavender as in the book, she is the one who rescues a fellow maid from him before Benedict intervenes.

However, Bridgerton Season 4 Part 2 serves too many characters at once, occasionally distracting from the main couple.
