WB HS Improvement Exam 2026: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, WBCHSE, announced Class 12th results 2026 on Thursday, May 14, 2026. The overall pass percentage stood at 91.23%. While sharing the results, the Council introduced two major reforms for Class 12 students. For the first time, improvement exams will be held for Higher Secondary candidates who have failed in specific subjects. Moreover, from this year onwards, a detailed subject-wise statistical analysis will also be shared for every school across the state. The report will have insights into key details such as the number of students who appeared for the examination, pass percentages, and the number of students securing marks above 90% and 95% in different subjects.

WB HS Improvement Exam 2026: How Will It Benefit Students?

The newly introduced improvement exam system will benefit those students who failed in particular subjects or want to improve their marks. This will offer students a second opportunity to save their academic year without waiting for the next annual board examination cycle. Such initiatives are well appreciated by students and parents for fostering a supportive environment for students, enabling them to succeed academically.

WB HS Improvement Exam 2026: Key Pointers

Here are some important points related to the WB improvement exams. 

1. Candidates willing to take the improvement exams have to submit their original WB HS marksheet before appearing for the exams.

2. Students need to submit supplementary examination forms online through the Board’s website once the application process begins. 

3. The detailed schedule will be notified soon on the official portal.

4. The improvement exam intends to reduce students’ stress and anxiety regarding marks.

5. Students dissatisfied with their marks can appear for the improvement exam. 

WB HS Results 2026

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) officially declared the WB HS (Class 12) Results 2026 on May 14, 2026, recording a strong overall pass percentage of 91.23%. Along with the results, toppers' names were also shared. Adrito Paul from Narendrapur Ramkrishna Mission Vidyalaya emerged as the state topper, achieving Rank 1 with an outstanding score of 496 out of 500 marks (99.2%).
