UPSC 2025 CSE Result:  A daily wage labourer from Sheikhpura, Bihar, falsely claimed All India Rank 440 in the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2025 results announced March 6, 2026, leading locals to celebrate him with garlands, sweets, cash, and a suitcase. He gave motivational speeches before doubts surfaced on March 12, prompting him to go into hiding until police arrested him on Tuesday.

The case stands out amid other unpunished false claims, with some online voices questioning why only Yadav faced action while investigations continue over possible deception charges.
 

Fake Rank Claimer 'Ranjeet Kumar' Motivational Speech Goes Viral:

While the fake IAS, now identified as Ranjit Yadav, claimed to have achieved All India Rank 440, local people, including the Member of the Legislative Assembly of the region, rushed in to felicitate him.

In the felicitation video, Ranjit could be seen delivering a motivational lecture highlighting how it is important to keep the goal in focus to achieve it. In the 2:30-minute clip, locals were seen clapping and cheering him intermittently.

 

A video of the felicitation has since gone viral, in which Yadav was seen accepting gifts and garlands from RJD MLA Vijay Kumar. Several social media posts also claimed that the impostor accepted an honorary cash gift from the MLA.

UPSC 2025 CSE Results: Local SHO Interviews Fake IAS Aspirant

Another unverified video has surfaced, in which the local Station House Officer (SHO) is seen interviewing Ranjit at the police station.

In the video, Ranjit is seen speaking about the struggles of his life and the difficulties he had to face in achieving his goal.
