UPMSP Evaluation Process: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is set to commence the evaluation of over 3.88 lakh Class 10 and 12 answer sheets in Ambedkarnagar starting tomorrow, March 18, 2026. This crucial phase will involve five designated centres and approximately 2,000 examiners, aiming to complete the result declaration process in a swift and transparent manner.
Today, March 17, district officials and evaluation centres organised training sessions to prepare 1,781 examiners and 189 deputy chief examiners for the upcoming task. With the Board aiming to release the final results by the end of April, the evaluation work in Ambedkarnagar is expected to proceed rapidly under strict security arrangements.
Will the evaluation centres ensure complete transparency?
The evaluation process will be conducted under 24-hour CCTV surveillance, with the video feed linked to control rooms at both the district and state levels. Each of the five centres will be monitored by a Static Magistrate; these centres include B.N. Inter College in Akbarpur and Sant Kabir Inter College in Saidapur. To maintain the highest level of confidentiality, teachers and staff are strictly prohibited from carrying mobile phones or any electronic devices inside the evaluation rooms.
Is step-marking beneficial for Board students?
A significant update for the 2026 session is the mandatory implementation of the step-marking system, particularly for Science and Mathematics papers. According to DIOS Praveen Kumar Tiwari, this ensures that students receive marks for every correct step taken, even if the final calculation is incorrect. This student-friendly approach is expected to lead to an improvement in the overall pass percentage for candidates in both High School and Intermediate examinations compared to previous years.
When can students expect the final results?
Once the evaluation of answer sheets is completed by early April, the UP Board will require approximately 15 to 20 days to digitise the marks and finalise the merit lists. Based on the current evaluation timeline and past trends, the UP Board results for both Class 10 and Class 12 for the year 2026 are highly likely to be announced in the fourth week of April 2026.
Students are advised to keep their roll numbers ready to check their marks on the official portal, upresults.nic.in.
