Gautam Buddha Nagar School Timings Change: The District Magistrate (DM)of Gautam Buddha Nagar has officially ordered a revision of school timings across Noida and Greater Noida due to the escalating heatwave conditions in Western Uttar Pradesh. With the mercury consistently hovering around the 43°C mark, the administration has moved to limit students' exposure to the scorching afternoon sun.
Effective from today, Monday, April 27, 2026, all educational institutions, including government, private, and those affiliated with CBSE, ICSE, and the UP Board, are mandated to conduct classes between 7:30 AM and 12:30 PM.
Health and Safety Protocols for Students:
This proactive measure aims to safeguard children from heat-related illnesses such as dehydration and heatstroke. Alongside the timing change, the district administration has directed school managements to ensure the availability of cool drinking water and oral rehydration solutions (ORS) on campus.
Teachers and staff have been instructed to monitor students closely for any signs of physical distress or exhaustion caused by the rising temperatures.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has cautioned that the current heatwave is expected to persist, with temperatures potentially rising further in the coming days. Authorities have advised the general public, particularly the elderly and children, to remain indoors during the peak heat hours of 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
When stepping out is necessary, residents are urged to wear light-colored cotton clothing and keep their heads covered with hats or umbrellas to minimize the direct impact of the sun.
This revised schedule will remain in force until further notice from the District Magistrate's office, as officials continue to monitor the local weather patterns.
Parents are encouraged to send their children to school with adequate hydration and light snacks to help them manage the early morning shift effectively.
