SSC CGL Exam 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the examination schedule for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2026. According to the official announcement, the SSC CGL Tier 1 examination will be conducted from September 30 to October 30, 2026.
The SSC CGL 2026 computer-based examination will be conducted in two tiers, Tier 1 and Tier 2. Candidates appearing for Tier 1 should understand the paper pattern, subjects, marking scheme and syllabus before starting their preparation.\
SSC CGL 2026 Tier 1 Exam Pattern
The Tier 1 examination will consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions. The paper will contain a total of 100 questions carrying 200 marks. Candidates will get one hour to complete the examination.

SSC CGL 2026 General Intelligence And Reasoning Syllabus
The General Intelligence and Reasoning section will include both verbal and non-verbal questions. Candidates can expect questions based on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualisation, spatial orientation, decision-making, visual memory, observation and relationship concepts.
Other important topics include arithmetical reasoning, figural classification, number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusions and syllogistic reasoning.

SSC CGL 2026 Preparation Tips
With the Tier 1 examination scheduled from September 30 to October 30, candidates should focus on revising the complete syllabus and practising mock tests regularly. Time management is particularly important because candidates have only 60 minutes to attempt 100 questions.
Candidates should also analyse their performance in mock tests, identify weak areas and revise important concepts. Since there is negative marking, aspirants should avoid making random guesses and focus on maintaining accuracy along with speed.
