State Bank of India Careers: The State Bank of India (SBI) has opened applications for 207 Specialist Cadre Officer posts under its 2026 recruitment drive. The vacancies include positions such as Zonal Head, Regional Head, Relationship Manager-Team Lead, Investment Officer, Vice President-Wealth, and Assistant Vice President-Wealth. Interested candidates can apply through the bank's official website until September 25.

The recruitment includes regular and backlog vacancies, with eligibility criteria varying by post. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and experience before appearing for one or two interview rounds. The interview will carry 100 marks, while the final compensation will be discussed during the selection process.

SBI Specialist Officer Recruitment 2026: Vacancy And Eligibility

The recruitment drive covers several specialist positions, with different educational qualifications, experience requirements and age limits. For the Zonal Head (Retail) post, candidates should have an MBA with at least 60% marks, relevant professional certifications and 15 years of experience. The prescribed age limit is 35 to 50 years.

For the Regional Head position, candidates should have an MBA in Banking, Finance or Marketing with at least 60% marks, relevant certifications and 12 years of experience. The age limit is 35 to 50 years.

Candidates applying for Relationship Manager-Team Lead should hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline and have at least eight years of relevant work experience. The age limit for the post is 35 to 50 years.

SBI Recruitment 2026: Investment And Wealth Posts

For Investment Officer (IS), candidates should have a master's degree or postgraduate diploma in relevant fields such as Finance, Accountancy, Business Management, Commerce, Economics, Capital Markets, Banking, Insurance or Actuarial Science. Candidates with qualifications such as CFA or CA can also apply. At least six years of relevant experience is required, and the age limit is 28 to 42 years.

For Investment Officer (IO), candidates should meet similar educational requirements and have at least four years of relevant experience. The age limit is 28 to 40 years.

For VP-Wealth, candidates need a bachelor's degree in any discipline and at least six years of relevant experience. The prescribed age limit is 26 to 42 years. For AVP-Wealth, candidates should have a bachelor's degree and at least three years of relevant experience. The age limit is 23 to 35 years.

 

SBI Specialist Officer Salary And Contract Period

Selected candidates will initially be appointed on a five-year contractual basis. The contract may be extended by another four years, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

The CTC offered for these positions is not fixed. Candidates can negotiate their compensation with SBI, with the final salary depending on factors such as professional experience, existing salary and location of posting. The annual compensation for certain posts can go up to Rs 97 lakh, according to the recruitment details.

SBI SO Selection Process And Application Fee

The selection process will consist of shortlisting followed by one or two rounds of interviews. Interviews may be conducted through telephone or video conferencing. The interview will carry 100 marks, while the qualifying marks will be determined by SBI.

Candidates from the General, Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 750. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) categories are exempted from the application fee.
