CGPSC State Service Exam 2025: Interview And Document Verification Process Postponed For 265 Posts, Revised Schedule Awaited

CGPSC State Service Exam 2025: Due to “unavoidable circumstances,” the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has postponed the interview and document verification process for 265 posts. The process was scheduled to run from September 20 to October 1 to recruit eligible candidates across 20 departments of the Chhattisgarh government. The postponement comes amid questions that were raised over the evaluation of the answer sheets and shortlisting of candidates. Revised exam dates will be announced soon. Candidates preparing for the interview rounds must wait for official updates and, meanwhile, continue their preparation.

Fresh Dates Awaited For Interview and Document Verification Process

As of now, the Commission has not announced any revised schedule for the cancelled interview and document verification process. Once confirmed, the exam dates will be notified via the official portal. Applicants are therefore advised to remain patient and wait for the Commission’s next official notification before making final arrangements. 

CGPSC Recruitment Across 20 Departments 

The CGPSC State Service Examination 2025 aims to fill a total of 265 posts across 20 departments of the Chhattisgarh government. The interview and document verification process are the last stages of the selection process. Candidates clearing the Preliminary and Main State Examination qualify for these phases. The prelims was held on February 22, 2026, at district headquarters across the state, while the State Service Main Examination was conducted from June 6 to 9 at exam centres located in Ambikapur, Bilaspur, Durg, Jagdalpur and Raipur.

608 Applicants Qualified For Interview Rounds

The commission shortlisted 608 candidates for the interview stage against the 265 advertised vacancies. Questioning the shortlisting process, Congress leaders argued that a 1:3 ratio would mean that 795 candidates should have been shortlisted. However, the Commission’s report, as presented, says that 187 candidates did not meet the minimum qualifying marks.
