The National Testing Agency, with the approval of the Government of India, has scheduled the re-examination of NEET (UG) 2026 on Sunday, 21 June 2026.
Candidates and parents are requested to rely only on the official channels of NTA.…
Why Was NEET UG 2026 Cancelled?
The original NEET UG 2026 examination was cancelled after investigative agencies flagged serious irregularities linked to an alleged paper leak. Reports claimed that several questions from the circulated “guess papers” closely matched the actual exam paper, especially in the Biology and Chemistry sections.
The controversy sparked protests by students and medical associations across the country. Several organisations demanded the restructuring of the NTA and sought judicial monitoring of the re-examination process.
Students Must Start Their Preparation
With the revised exam date now out, aspirants must resume their preparation. Many students who had taken a break after the May exam must now return to revision schedules and mock tests. Some experts may believe the re-exam could be slightly tougher due to heightened scrutiny and stricter paper-setting procedures.
NTA has further advised students and parents to rely on its official communication channels for authentic updates on the examination. For further assistance, students can contact the NTA help desk at 011-40759000 or via email at neetug@nta.ac.in.
