Indian Army Internship Recruitment 2026: The Indian Army has invited online applications for the internship program for various positions offered in New Delhi. Interested candidates can apply through the National Internship Portal to enroll in the emerging technology and management domains. Through the Indian Army Internship Programme (IAIP) 2026-27, the Indian Army aims to provide students with practical learning exposure to technology, contributing further to the defence sector through projects. The internship will be paid and will run for a total of 75 days. Out of which 60 days will be spent on training, while 15 days will be allocated for work from home.

Selected Candidates Will Get Stipend

Candidates selected under the internship will get a stipend of Rs 75,000. After the completion of the program, the stipend will be disbursed. The final stipend amount will depend on the intern's overall attendance during the internship. 

The internship will be conducted in New  Delhi/NCR. Candidates are required to arrange their own accommodation since this facility is not provided under the programme. 

How To Apply?

The application deadline varies by project. While many have already expired, others remain open with a closing deadline between August 1 and 15, 2026. 

Interested candidates need to submit their applications through the AICTE National Internship Portal. Students can enroll for specific projects listed under the Indian Army. Review the eligibility criteria carefully before applying. Upload documents if required and submit the applications before the deadline.

The Indian Army is offering internship opportunities across various sectors, including,

  • Advanced Weapon Systems and Defence Electronics

  • 5G/6G and Communication Technologies

  • Financial Technology (FinTech)

  • Strategic Communication and Mass Media

  • Human Resource Management

  • Operational Logistics

Upon completion of the internship program, candidates will receive a certificate of completion. They will gain practical experience on technology-driven initiatives related to national security while working alongside Indian Army professionals.
