India Post GDS 3rd Merit List 2026 Date: The document verification for the India Post GDS 2nd merit list is underway, with April 27 being the deadline. Once completed, the Department will release the state wise merit list on the GDS Online Engagement Portal in PDF format. Candidates can download it from indiapost.gov.in without any login credentials. Those who were not selected in the 2nd merit list, need not lose hope. The 3rd merit list may include their names.

India Post GDS 3rd Merit List 2026: How To Download?

Once the merit list is available on the official website, you can follow the given steps to download it:

Step 1: Go to the India Post official website at indiapost.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on the “India Post GDS 3rd Merit List 2026” link.

Step 3: The merit list will appear on the screen in PDF format.

Step 4: Download it and search for your name.

Step 5: You can also use Ctrl+F to find your name easily. 

India Post GDS 3rd Merit List 2026: Document Checklist For Verification 

Selected candidates have to bring the following document to the respective centers for India Post GDS document verification:

  • 10th Class Mark Sheet(s)

  • Identity Proof

  • Self-Attested Copies of Documents

  • Caste Certificate

  • EWS Certificate

  • Medical Certificate

  • Domicile/Tribal Certificate

  • Passport-sized Photograph

  • Printout of the Application Form

India Post GDS 3rd Merit List 2026: Expected Date

It is expected that the Department will release the 3rd merit list by the end of this month. The official dates will be announced soon. Last year, the India Post GDS third merit list was released on May 19, 2025. 

The merit list is system-generated and is prepared based on marks obtained/conversion of Grades/Points to marks in the Secondary School Examination of 10th standard of recognised Boards aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals.
