IIT Kanpur Certificate Courses: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has launched a six-month certification course in Advanced Data Science and Machine Learning for Business Analytics for working professionals to upskill their industry-level skills. These courses tend to improve their knowledge in AI, machine learning, and business analytics. The online application will begin in mid-September. The courses will commence on October 3, 2026, with live classes scheduled for weekends. Making it feasible for working professionals, the courses will provide insights into sectors such as finance, marketing, consulting, operations, product management, and business analytics.
IIT Kanpur Certificate Courses: Who’s Eligible To Apply?
The course will run over six months, continuing for a total of 60 learning hours. Working professionals without hampering their jobs can learn about the AI skills applicable in today's world in sectors such as business, finance, and marketing. To apply, professionals must be graduates from a recognized university with at least 55% qualifying marks. Those having work experience of three or more years require 40% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree to register for these courses.
Course Fee
The application fee is Rs 1,000, plus 18% GST. The course fee is Rs 85,000 plus 18% GST, payable in two installments. If participants choose not to complete the full program, the university also offers a three-month exit option. Under this, participants will get a Certificate of Participation.
Hands-On Learning About AI, Machine Learning and Generative AI
The course is designed by the Department of Management Sciences (DoMS), IIT Kanpur in collaboration with the faculties of leading IITs and IIMS.
