CBSE Class 12 Re-Evaluation:  The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has pushed the launch of its portal for verification and re-evaluation of Class 12 answer sheets to June 1, 2026. Earlier, it was scheduled to start today. Candidates who are not satisfied with their board marks can apply for the re-evaluation and verification process through the official portal. As per reports, over 4 lakh students applied for scanned copies of answer books, generating nearly 11 lakh answer script requests this year. The process comes amid criticism and student concerns regarding the board’s new digital On-Screen Marking (OSM) system.

Over 11 Lakh Answer Script Requests Received

CBSE has witnessed an unusually high number of post-result review requests after several candidates flagged discrepancies in the newly introduced OSM system. More than 4 lakh Class 12 students applied to access their evaluated answer sheets, resulting in around 11 lakh answer book requests.

CBSE introduced its first digital revaluation system for Class 12 exams, aiming for transparency and fairness. The system is developed with the technical and operational support from institutions including IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, and four PSU banks. The authorities have given assurance to candidates that their concerns will be addressed diligently.
