CBSE OSM Controversy:  In a significant move, the Centre has transferred the CBSE Chairman and Secretary following the CBSE OSM row. The issue became nationwide when several candidates raised concerns on social media regarding the discrepancies in their scanned CBSE Class 12th answer sheets, including mismatched answer sheets, blurred scanned copies, and possible marking irregularities. Following this, students and parents are questioning the integrity and fairness of the newly introduced OSM evaluation system.  

CBSE OSM Row: CBSE Chairman And Secretary Transferred

Addressing students’ concerns and rising questions related to the OSM evaluation system, the Centre today has taken stern action by transferring the CBSE Chairman and Secretary. Further to investigate the whole issue, the Centre has formed an inquiry committee to investigate the procurement of the newly introduced OSM services by CBSE. 

The inquiry committee will be headed by the Capacity Building Commission Chairperson, S. Radha Chauhan, to probe the OSM (On-Screen Marking) tender case. Mrs. S. Radha Chauhan is a 1988 batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. With over 36 years of rich experience, the officer is known for her expertise in public procurement, digital governance, institutional reforms, and policymaking. 

Students can now wait for further updates and for the re-evaluation process to be completed. 

CBSE OSM Row: NSUI Workers Protested Outside CBSE Office

The OSM controversy spilled over onto the streets on Saturday, when the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) protested outside the CBSE office in Patparganj, demanding accountability over issues raised by students and calling for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Hundreds of NSIU workers carried banners and placards with slogans written against the Central Government. 

CBSE Re-Evaluation Portal Suffers Barrage Of Cyberattacks

CBSE faced a massive cyberattack today as several malicious actors launched targeted cyberattacks against its newly opened Class 12 post-result re-evaluation portal. As per CBSE’s official statement, the portal faced an attempted denial-of-service (DoS) attack that generated nearly 1.5 million hits on the portal within two minutes. As of 3:00 PM today, more than 16,000 students have completed their verification and re-evaluation submissions. The portal managed over 8,000 concurrent users at peak capacity, as informed by the cybersecurity team.

CBSE OSM system is under scrutiny after several students claimed discrepancies in the uploaded answer sheets and evaluation, including answer sheet mix-ups, missing scanned copies, and major marking errors.
