CBSE 12th Toppers List 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released Class 12 Board Exam 2026 results today, May 13, 2026. After conducting examinations for over 18 lakh students from February 17 to April 10, 2026, the board has activated the result links on its official portals. Following its long-standing policy to prioritise mental health and avoid "unhealthy competition," the CBSE will not officially release a traditional first, Second, and Third rank toppers list at the national or regional levels.
The pass percentage stands at 85.20, which as dipped from 88.39% last year. In 2025 and 2024 the results were declared on May 13.
However, the board continues to recognise academic excellence by issuing Merit Certificates to the top 0.1 per cent of students in each subject. These certificates will be accessible via DigiLocker. In the absence of an official list, high-scoring data across Science, Commerce, and Arts streams is typically compiled based on school-level reporting and student feedback. To qualify, students must secure a minimum of 33 per cent in both theory and practical components independently.
CBSE 12th Result 2026: How did different institutions perform in terms of pass percentage?
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV) and Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) saw a high success rate:
1. KV: 98.55%.
2. JNV: 98.47%.
3. Independent schools had a pass percentage of 84.22%.

-Log in to your DigiLocker account using your Aadhaar or mobile number.
-Search for "Central Board of Secondary Education."
-Select "Merit Certificate - Class XII."
-Enter your Year (2026) and Roll Number to download the document.
