Indian cricketer Yash Dayal got married to content creator Shweta Pundir during a private ceremony in February. The wedding was held on 4th February in Noida, with just a few close family members and relatives in attendance, creating an intimate atmosphere.
While Dayal did not officially post about the marriage on his social media, Shweta shared a video reel of the couple on her official Instagram, marking their celebration online.
The news of his wedding came while Dayal was facing legal controversies. He was accused of sexually exploiting a woman over a long period under the pretext of marrying her. In early 2024, after a lower court denied his bail request and he faced imminent arrest, the Rajasthan High Court granted him anticipatory bail, providing some relief.

Further underscoring the private nature of the celebration, some reports stated that only family and friends attended, with no cricketers present at the wedding.
Sexual Misconduct Allegations Against a Minor
Dayal faced allegations of assaulting a minor. A young woman cricketer from Jaipur claimed Dayal promised career help and then assaulted her in 2023. A FIR was filed at Sanganer Sadar Police Station.
In January 2024, the Rajasthan High Court granted him interim protection in the case related to the minor. Previously, a court had rejected his request for anticipatory bail under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, prompting Dayal to approach the High Court. Dayal's lawyer, Chandrashekhar Sharma, stated that the FIR was filed two years after the alleged incident and that Dayal met the minor at public gatherings with teammates.
RCB Retain Pacer
Turning to his professional career, Dayal will next be seen representing Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2026. He was also part of the IPL-winning team during the previous edition.
He made his IPL debut with the Gujarat Titans in 2022 and contributed to their title win that year. In the 2023 edition, Rinku Singh hit five consecutive sixes off his over, helping KKR win the match.
RCB signed him in 2024 and retained him for future seasons. In the same year, he also received his maiden India call-up for the home Test series against Bangladesh, but has yet to make his international debut.
