Former Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma is one of the most followed cricketers in the world, and fans always look for an opportunity to meet him or click a picture with him. A recent interaction between Rohit and a female fan has now gone viral on social media, leaving fans amused because of how awkward and funny the moment turned out to be.

Rohit Sharma irritated by a female fan

Mumbai Indians (MI) shared a clip where Rohit Sharma can be seen a bit irritated after he was forced to wait for a female fan. In the clip, a female fan becomes extremely excited after spotting Rohit Sharma.

She immediately pulled out her phone to take a selfie with the former India captain and said, “Aap best ho (You are the best),” while posing for the picture.

However, the situation suddenly became awkward when the fan realised that her phone had switched off before she could click the selfie.

“Mera phone off ho gaya (My mobile phone switched off),” she said in disappointment.

The fan then started asking people nearby for a phone so she could still take a picture with Rohit. During all this, Rohit had already started walking towards the team bus.

As the fan continued calling out from behind, Rohit looked slightly irritated and responded, “Toh abhi main kya karu phir? (What should I do then?).”

Eventually, the fan managed to borrow someone else’s phone and finally got her selfie with Rohit. Before the picture was clicked, the Mumbai Indians batter also said, “Aap jaldi karo bhai (Please do it quickly).”

Throughout the interaction, the fan repeatedly kept saying “please” and “sorry” before finally getting the memorable picture with her favourite cricketer.

Rohit Sharma's IPL 2026 comeback

Rohit Sharma, who missed five matches in the IPL 2026 after getting a hamstring injury, has made his comeback. He made his comeback in the previous game against Lucknow Super Giants at Wankhede Stadium.

Rohit played a brilliant knock of 84 runs from just 44 balls, smashing six fours and seven sixes. His innings helped Mumbai Indians chase down a massive target of 229 with six wickets remaining and 10 balls left in the match.

Will Mumbai Indians Qualify for IPL 2026 Playoffs?

Despite the big win, Mumbai Indians are still struggling in the playoff race. The five-time IPL champions can only reach a maximum of 14 points even if they win all of their remaining matches.

Mumbai Indians will next face Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Sunday, May 10 at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium.
