GT vs DC IPL 2026: Gujarat Titans star batter Sai Sudharsan has revealed that their skipper, Shubman Gill, will play in their IPL 2026 match against Delhi Capitals on Wednesday. "Shubman is coming along well. He'll be playing tomorrow", Sai Sudharsan told reporters during the pre-match press conference.
Gill didn't play during their last match and was seen wearing bandages on his shoulder and neck. The GT skipper has been suffering from neck spasms after the 2025-26 Test season at home. Sudharsan revealed that Gill has recovered and has been declared fit. He will be replacing Kumar Kushagra as the opener. The Gujarat-based franchise might also include Jason Holder in their XI to strengthen their middle order.
The Axar Patel-led side will be hopeful that their top-order, spearheaded by KL Rahul, will score some runs as they try to maintain their dominance against GT.

The Delhi-based franchise has performed consistently in its first two matches, with the youngster Sameer Rizvi leading the run-scoring so far.
On the other hand, the Gujarat Titans have struggled in both batting and bowling.
They have been heavily dependent on their top-order batting, and the middle order has failed to convert starts into runs. They couldn't chase a mammoth target of 205 runs against the Riyan Parag-led side, even though Sai Sudharsan gave the team a flying start.

Their middle-order consists of Glenn Phillips, Washington Sundar, and Rahul Tewatia, who will have to step up to the occasion.
In the bowling lineup, Mohammed Siraj and Kagiso Rabada have conceded runs, while Prasidh Krishna remains inconsistent.
At the same time, Rashid Khan had a flying start to the ongoing season, and the young fast bowler Ashok Sharma has also made significant contributions.
The surface in Delhi is generally batter-friendly, but during their match against the Mumbai Indians last week, the average first innings score was 162 runs. It will be interesting to see how the pitch will react during the evening clash.
