CSK vs SRH: Sanju Samson Creates History, Breaks MS Dhoni’s All-Time IPL Record

CSK vs SRH IPL 2026: Sanju Samson has eclipsed MS Dhoni's all-time IPL record for most runs as a Chennai Super Kings wicket-keeper batter against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Chepauk Stadium. Dhoni compiled 461 runs in 16 matches during IPL 2013.

Samson needed just 12 runs to surpass the record, and did so in six balls by hammering 15 runs in Nitish Kumar Reddy's first over.

Samson, debuting for the Chennai franchise, has also set multiple milestones this season.

Fastest Indian to 5,000 IPL Runs

He reached 5000 runs in 3555 balls, becoming the fastest Indian batter to do so, moving past MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, and KL Rahul.
