LSG vs SRH IPL 2026: Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjiv Goenka was relieved when the team's bowlers rattled Sunrisers Hyderabad's batting lineup on Sunday. While bowling first, the Lucknow-based franchise had a flying start as Mohammed Shami took wickets in his successive overs as he dismissed both SRH openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head. Prince Yadav then continued the wicket-taking spree as he dismissed SRH captain Ishan Kishan and left the hosts tottering at 22/3 during the powerplay.
This early batting collapse helped LSG dominate, as the SRH batters struggled during their IPL 2026 match on Sunday. Goenka, who was present at the venue, was quite ecstatic to watch his bowlers perform well. He was seen passionately cheering for his team, had also taken out a picture of a god, and was seen taking blessings when Prince Yadav took the wicket of Ishan Kishan.

Mohammad Shami had bowled the ninth over as well, where he combined his speed brilliantly and switched fast and slower deliveries, and had leaked just three runs. He had registered brilliant figures of 2/9 after bowling in four overs.
LSG captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and chose to bowl first against SRH.

Lucknow included Manimaran Siddharth to replace Anrich Nortje. SRH brought in Liam Livingstone and Harshal Patel into their playing XI.
They had lost their tournament opener to Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Still, they made a brilliant comeback and defeated Kolkata Knight Riders, while the Lucknow-based franchise had lost to Delhi Capitals in their tournament opener.
