GT vs SRH IPL 2026: Sai Sudharsan delivered another stellar performance in the IPL 2026 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, reaching a milestone and joining Virat Kohli in an elite club.
Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bowl first. This tactical choice favored SRH, as GT batters labored to score on a challenging pitch in Ahmedabad.
Sai Sudharsan matches Virat Kohli’s feat
Gujarat lost two early wickets in the power play, and their scoring slowed dramatically as SRH bowlers dominated. Sudharsan anchored the innings from one end.
He fired a dynamic fifty, scoring 61 runs off 44 balls before Sakib Hussain claimed his wicket. Sudharsan also marked his 500th run this season.
Sudharsan has now tallied over 500 runs across three consecutive IPL seasons—2024, 2025, and 2026—matching Kohli’s record from 2023 to 2025.
Few batters in IPL history have displayed such enduring consistency. David Warner leads, surpassing 500 runs in six straight seasons. KL Rahul follows, exceeding 500 in five consecutive seasons from IPL 2018 to 2022.
