IPL 2026: Lucknow Super Giants have revealed that Rishabh Pant has urged them that he should relinquish his captaincy duties from the team and the management have have accepted his request immediately.
“Rishabh approached the franchisee with this request and we have respectfully accepted it. These decisions are never easy. We are grateful for everything Rishabh has brought to this dressing room as captain. Our focus now is on the collective – rebuilding and restructuring to reach the best standards," the statement released by LSG said.
The Lucknow-based franchise had roped him for a whopping amount of Rs 27 crore during the IPL 2025 mega auction.
