Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) shared a heartfelt Mother’s Day tribute on social media ahead of their upcoming Indian Premier League clash against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium.
RCB posted a special tribute on Instagram featuring players from the franchise alongside their mothers to celebrate the occasion. The post included several well-known stars such as Virat Kohli, Smriti Mandhana, Jitesh Sharma, Lauren Bell, Devdutt Padikkal, Dinesh Karthik and Krunal Pandya with their mothers.

RCB vs MI Head to Head
Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mumbai Indians have shared a competitive rivalry in the Indian Premier League over the years. The two teams have met 35 times in IPL history, with MI holding a slight edge with 19 wins, while RCB have come out on top in 16 matches.

The last time these sides faced each other was earlier in the 2026 IPL season, when RCB defeated the five-time champions by 18 runs. MI’s most recent victory over RCB came during the 2024 season.
RCB's performance in IPL 2026
RCB are currently fourth on the points table of the Indian Premier League after SRH, GT and PBKS. The Bengaluru-based franchise has played 10 matches so far and won six. Their last outing came against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), where they suffered a nine-run defeat in a rain-affected match in Lucknow. RCB need to win two matches from their final four league matches to secure a spot in IPL 2026 playoffs.
