RCB vs DC: Delhi Capitals on Monday suffered one of the worst defeats in their IPL history, with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) crushing the Axar Patel-led franchise by 9 wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Delhi Capitals were put to bat first after Rajat Patidar won the toss, and the drubbing started in the first over, with debutant Sahil Parakh getting clean bowled on the second delivery by Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
And it was only the beginning of the collapse. Josh Hazelwood, who has just made his IPL comeback, came to bowl the second over and rattled the top order by clinching two crucial wickets -- KL Rahul and Sameer Rizvi -- in two balls. By the end of the second over, DC was reduced to 2 for 3 wickets.

Bhuvneshwar was given the third over, and he made no mistakes, scalping skipper Axar Patel and Tristan Stubbs, with DC reeling at 7 for 5 wickets in 3 overs.
It further went down for Delhi when Nitish Rana fell shortly in the next over. RCB bowlers scalped 6 wickets in just 23 balls, conceding only 8 runs before Abhishek Porel and David Miller steadied the scorecard for the next 5 overs.

With the nightmare evening unfolding for Delhi, netizens were quick to recall the "curse of April 27", the same day when Kochi Tuskers Kerala slumped to 11 for 6 15 years back in the 2011 IPL.
With the collapse, Delhi Capitals also etched their name in the unwanted record list of IPL. DC's score of 13 for 6 at the end of powerplay is the lowest total ever inside the six overs in a full IPL match.
