GT is still fighting for a top-two finish
Gill handled the mistake positively, quickly shifting the focus to how upcoming results could help GT finish in the top two. A top-two position offers two chances to reach the summit clash.
“Momentum is with us, and we need to keep performing well. This is not the stage to underestimate any team. Our goal is to win the next two matches and secure a top-two spot,” Shubman Gill said at the toss.
Despite this slip, Shastri remains highly regarded as a commentator, having covered many iconic moments in Indian cricket this century.
