PBKS vs SRH IPL 2026: Punjab Kings won the toss and chose to bowl first, which meant that Sunrisers Hyderabad had to bat first. Praful Hinge made his debut for the Hyderabad-based franchise in their IPL 2026 match against the Punjab Kings, where he will be used as a fresh fast bowler in their bowling lineup. SRH roped in for Rs 30 lakh during the IPL auction last year.
Hailing from Vidharbha, this youngster has entered this tournament on the back of a brilliant domestic season, as he has played a huge role in helping Vidharbha win the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Praful, who is known for producing bounce, does have the ability to give the opponent batters a hard time on subcontinental pitches.
Domestic rise earns IPL chance
Hinge's brilliant performances in the domestic tournament last year drew everyone's attention. He made his Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy debut by bowling along with Umesh Yadav. He has attended his training session at the MRF Pace Foundation, and he will further develop his skills once he gains international exposure.

Opportunity knocks at the top level
Since there are a lot of star players in the side, Hinge, who was seen as a backup bowler till now, is all set to make his IPL debut. The Hyderabad-based franchise will allow him to test himself under pressure.
It will be interesting to see how he adjusts to the intensity of this tournament and whether he will perform brilliantly against the Shreyas Iyer-led side.
