LSG vs DC IPL 2026: Mohammed Shami is currently playing for LSG during IPL 2026. The Lucknow Super Giants had roped in Shami for a trade deal with Sunrisers Hyderabad before the auction last year, even though he had a forgettable outing for SRH last year. This out-of-favor Indian fast bowler is part of LSG's playing XI during their tournament opener against DC, where he took a wicket on the first ball of the second innings.
KL Rahul, who tried to go big during Shami's over, was caught by Mohsin Khan and was dismissed for a golden duck on the first ball while chasing a target of 142 runs.

Rahul, who was DC's highest run-getter last year, will be batting as an opener in the ongoing season, but during their tournament opener, he couldn't even score a single run.

LSG all out for 141 in 18.1 overs
Even before Shami gave LSG a flying start during the second innings, the DC bowlers rattled LSG's batting lineup as they skittled them out for just 141 runs in 18.5 overs. Pacers Lungi Ngidi and T.Natarajan took three wickets apiece for DC, and then Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets. As far as the hosts are concerned, Mitchell Marsh was their highest run-scorer as he had scored 35 runs off 28 balls, but their new opener, Rishabh Pant, could score just seven runs off 9 balls.
Abdul Samad, who too has represented SRH in this tournament, was the highest run-getter for the Lucknow-based franchise during their tournament opener. He had scored 36 runs off 25 balls, in which he had smashed three fours and one six. He also stitched a partnership of 34 runs with Mukul Choudhary for the sixth wicket and then built a partnership of 36 runs with Shahbaz Ahmed for the seventh wicket.

David Miller took Samad's catch in T.Natarajan's over, and his wicket resulted in a batting collapse as the host lost three batters after scoring just as many runs.
