Mitchell Marsh lit up the Ekana Stadium with a brilliant century during Lucknow Super Giants’ clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on May 7. The Australian all-rounder played an explosive innings and reached his hundred in just 49 balls.
Marsh brought up the milestone in style by driving a yorker from Romario Shepherd for a boundary through the off side. It turned out to be one of the finest knocks by an LSG batter in IPL history.

With this innings, Marsh also recorded the fastest century ever scored by a Lucknow Super Giants player in the IPL. With this century, Marsh also broke the previous record held by KL Rahul, who had scored a 56-ball hundred against the Mumbai Indians (MI) in 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium.

Marsh attacked the RCB bowling lineup from the beginning and never allowed them to settle. He finished his century, smashing nine fours and nine sixes during the innings.
However, despite Marsh’s incredible knock, Lucknow Super Giants still face a difficult situation in the tournament. The team is currently placed near the bottom of the points table, and even winning their remaining matches may not be enough to secure a playoff spot.
