LSG vs DC IPL 2026: Both on and off the field, Lucknow Super Giants are facing familiar situations. Clearly, their six-wicket loss to Delhi Capitals at their backyard wasn't enough. The team is now embroiled in a new controversy after a video of post-match interactions, including owner Sanjiv Goenka and Rishabh Pant, went viral on social media and was compared to last year's KL Rahul incident. The Lucknow-based franchise suffered a batting collapse in their backyard after posting a meager target of 142 runs while batting first.
LSG rallied during DC's chase, but Sameer Rizvi's match-winning performance saw DC chase the target with 17 balls left.
Post-match events drew the most attention.

Goenka was seen involved in a heated exchange with Pant, with head coach Justin Langer also present. Although the viral video lacked audio, it sparked a major social media discussion, with many comparing it to the conversation between Goenka and KL Rahul during IPL 2024.
This incident is seen as a public humiliation and has sparked a wide discussion about the role of franchise owners and whether such discussions should be held behind closed doors. Similarly, this video of Pant interacting with Goenka reignited that discussion.
Facing criticism, LSG responded on social media with an unfiltered video of the conversation.

They wrote the caption as, "Not everything you see is the true story, here’s the unfiltered post-match vibes, when cameras don’t cut.”
Although the video had no audio, Pant, Langer, and Goenka's voices weren't clearly audible. But these images do tell a different story: Pant and Goenka looked quite comfortable and were also seen giving each other a warm hug after the interaction, which revealed that everything was fine between them.
Their clarification helped put the speculation to an end.

Goenka didn't respond to this controversy. Goenka did not directly address the controversy; instead, he shared a picture on his social media account. These are part of building something meaningful. Respond with strength. To our fans, thank you for your support at Ekana today. We will come back stronger. The story of LSG this season is far from written", he had written.
