IPL 2026 KKR vs PBKS: The rain has stopped the play between Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings at Kolkata's Eden Garden during the first innings.
KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and elected to bat first, a decision proved wrong for the host team as it lost two wickets in less than four overs before the rain stopped the game.
Both Finn Allen and Cameron Green departed early as Xavier Bartlett struck twice for PBKS. Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Ajinkya Rahane were at the crease when the rain started. The KKR was reeling at 25 for the loss of 2 wickets after 3.4 overs.
According to IPL playing conditions, a fixture starting at 7:30 PM is expected to conclude by 10:50 PM.

There is a provision for an additional 60 minutes to accommodate any delays, including rains. This makes the cut-off time for a five-over match approximately 11:50 PM.
KKR, a three-time champion champions are playing without star spinners Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine. The host team are yet to win a game and get first points of IPL 2026.
On the other hand, PBKS, under Shreyas Iyer, looks to go to top of the table with a win in the match.
The match is unlikely to start early as weather has taken an adverse turn. Reports suggest rain accompanied by strong winds are set to delay match further.
