PBKS vs LSG IPL 2026: Lucknow Super Giants star spinner Digvesh Rathi has been dropped from their IPL 2026 match against Punjab Kings, which is being held in Mullanpur on Sunday. As per the LSG captain Rishabh Pant, who won the toss and chose to bowl first, Rathi has been snubbed from the game against the Punjab-based franchise. Manimaran Sidharth has replaced him in the playing XI.

“(Manimaran) Siddharth comes in and (Digvesh) Rathi misses out," Rishabh Pant was heard as saying at the time of the toss.

Rathi, who has taken 17 wickets after playing in as many matches till now, had leaked 51 runs during the four overs that he had bowled in their previous IPL 2026 match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and had gone wicketless in that match.

But in all three matches before that, he had taken one wicket apiece.

Rathi is one of the five impact players for the Rishabh Pant-led side during their match against PBKS, but as they have opted to bowl first, there are very few chances of him being used during the second innings. They would instead either pick one from Mathew Breetzke, Abdul Samad, or Himmat Singh.

At the same time, the Shreyas Iyer-led side has fielded an unchanged playing XI. They are entering this match on the back of a huge win against the Mumbai Indians during their previous match.

During that match, Shreyas Iyer and Prabhsimran Singh had smashed fifties apiece and helped the team chase the target of 196 runs at the Wankhede Stadium.
